Vitamin E is used in the treatment and prevention of vitamin E deficiency (inadequate dietary intake, children with cystic fibrosis or biliary atresia malabsorption of fat, or abetalipoproteinaemia, premature very low birth weight infants).
Vitamin E is also used often as an antioxidant in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
